The sons of Benjamin: Bela, Becher, Ashbel, Gera, Naaman, Ehi, Rosh, Muppim, Huppim, and Ard.

Judges 3:15 גֵּרָא֙ Gera

And again they cried out to the LORD, and He raised up Ehud son of Gera, a left-handed Benjamite, as their deliverer. So they sent him with tribute to Eglon king of Moab.

Here: A known Benjaminite clan name (Gen 46:21; compare Shimei "son of Gera" in 2 Sam 16:5). It may name Ehud's clan rather than his literal father.

2 Samuel 16:5 גֵּרָ֔א Gera

As King David approached Bahurim, a man from the family of the house of Saul was just coming out. His name was Shimei son of Gera, and as he approached, he kept yelling out curses.

Here: A known Benjaminite clan name (Gen 46:21; Ehud is 'son of Gera' in Judg 3:15). It places Shimei firmly in Saul's tribe.

2 Samuel 19:16 גֵּרָא֙ Gera

Then Shimei son of Gera, a Benjamite from Bahurim, hurried down with the men of Judah to meet King David,

Here: His father, or more likely his clan ancestor. Gera is an old Benjaminite clan name (Gen 46:21; Ehud is also 'son of Gera,' Judg 3:15). In 16:5 Shimei is said to be 'of the clan of the house of Saul.'
