Where it appears

Judges · 1
  1. Judges 18:4 כָּזֹ֣ה like this

“Micah has done this and that for me,” he replied, “and he has hired me to be his priest.”

2 Samuel · 1
  1. 2 Samuel 11:25 כָזֹ֥ה like this

Then David told the messenger, “Say this to Joab: ‘Do not let this matter upset you, for the sword devours one as well as another. Strengthen your attack against the city and demolish it.’ Encourage him with these words.”

1 Kings · 1
  1. 1 Kings 14:5 כָּזֹ֥ה like this

But the LORD had said to Ahijah, “Behold, the wife of Jeroboam is coming to ask you about her son, for he is ill. You are to say such and such to her, because when she arrives, she will be disguised.”

2 Kings · 1
  1. 2 Kings 6:19 זֹ֣ה this

And Elisha told them, “This is not the way, and this is not the city. Follow me, and I will take you to the man you are seeking.” And he led them to Samaria.

Ecclesiastes · 6
  1. Ecclesiastes 2:2 זֹּ֥ה this

I said of laughter, “It is folly,” and of pleasure, “What does it accomplish?”

  2. Ecclesiastes 2:24 זֹה֙ this

Nothing is better for a man than to eat and drink and enjoy his work. I have also seen that this is from the hand of God.

Here: A late feminine form of 'this'. It probably refers to the whole situation just described, the possibility of enjoying good in one's toil.

  3. Ecclesiastes 5:16 זֹה֙ this

This too is a grievous affliction: Exactly as a man is born, so he will depart. What does he gain as he toils for the wind?

  4. Ecclesiastes 5:19 זֹ֕ה this

Furthermore, God has given riches and wealth to every man, and He has enabled him to enjoy them, to accept his lot, and to rejoice in his labor. This is a gift from God.

Here: 'This': a late form of the usual zo't. It gathers up the whole long description that came before. The entire situation of having, being empowered to enjoy, and being glad is what is called God's gift.

  5. Ecclesiastes 7:23 זֹ֖ה this

All this I tested by wisdom, saying, “I resolve to be wise.” But it was beyond me.

  6. Ecclesiastes 9:13 זֹ֛ה this

I have also seen this wisdom under the sun, and it was great to me:

Here: A rare form of "this" that belongs to later Hebrew and appears mostly in Ecclesiastes. It is the thing he saw, and it points ahead to the story in vv. 14–15. It probably does not simply mean "this wisdom" (see the notes on syntax).

Ezekiel · 1
  1. Ezekiel 40:45 זֹ֣ה this

Then the man said to me: “The chamber that faces south is for the priests who keep charge of the temple,

Here: A rare, short form of the usual feminine "this" (zōt). It points at the room as Ezekiel stands looking at it in the vision, like a guide saying "this one here."
