- Against the English
Every English version transliterates it (KJV and BSB "Jehud"). The only difference is spelling.
- Used elsewhere in the period
The name survived in the Arabic village name el-Yehudiyeh, now the Israeli town of Yehud near Ben Gurion Airport. The main Septuagint manuscripts read Azor here instead. Azor is a nearby town that Sennacherib's Assyrian records (701 BC) list as Azuru, alongside Banai-barqa (Bene-berak).

Jehud, Bene-berak, Gath-rimmon,
Here: The prefix means "and." Jehud is a town in Dan's assigned territory on the coastal plain, and the Bible names it only here. It is usually placed at Yehud (Arabic el-Yehudiyeh), about 13 km (8 miles) east of Jaffa.
