Where it appears
Genesis · 1
-
Genesis 26:34 בְּאֵרִ֖י Beeri
When Esau was forty years old, he took as his wives Judith daughter of Beeri the Hittite and Basemath daughter of Elon the Hittite.
Here: Probably 'of the well' or 'my well'. It fits a chapter full of well-digging and well disputes (26:15–33). The same name belongs to Hosea's father (Hos 1:1).

Hosea 1:1 בְּאֵרִ֔י Beeri
This is the word of the LORD that came to Hosea son of Beeri in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and of Jeroboam son of Jehoash, king of Israel.
Here: Hosea's father, otherwise unknown. The name probably comes from beʾer, 'well', so roughly 'my well' or 'man of the well'.
