Used elsewhere in the period

Beeroth was one of the four Gibeonite cities that made a treaty with Joshua (Josh 9:17). It was later counted to Benjamin (Josh 18:25; 2 Sam 4:2). 2 Sam 4:3 says the original Beerothites fled to Gittaim. Joab's armor-bearer Naharai was also a Beerothite (2 Sam 23:37).
