Psalm 57:4 חַדָּֽה׃ sharp
My soul is among the lions; I lie down with ravenous beasts—with men whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords.
Here: Honed and ready to cut. The same phrase 'sharp sword' describes the servant's mouth in Isa 49:2. Here it is the enemies' tongue that is the weapon.
Proverbs · 1
-
Proverbs 5:4 חַ֝דָּ֗ה sharp
in the end she is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a double-edged sword.
Here: Sharp, keen-edged. It reverses the 'smoother than oil' of verse 3: what felt smooth turns out to cut.
Isaiah · 1
-
Isaiah 49:2 חַדָּ֔ה sharp
He made My mouth like a sharp sword; He hid Me in the shadow of His hand. He made Me like a polished arrow; He hid Me in His quiver.
Here: "Sharp." A sword that is honed and ready to use. The word points to how well the servant's speech works, not to cruelty.
Ezekiel · 1

Ezekiel 5:1 חַדָּ֗ה sharp
“As for you, son of man, take a sharp sword, use it as a barber’s razor, and shave your head and beard. Then take a set of scales and divide the hair.
