Daniel 6:22 וּֽסֲגַ֛ר and he closed
My God sent His angel and shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, for I was found innocent in His sight, and I have done no wrong against you, O king.”
Here: 'And shut.' The usual verb for closing a door or gate. The lions' mouths are pictured as an opening that was shut, just as the den itself had been closed with a stone and sealed (6:17).
